Late Full Withdrawal from School to improve chances of getting into future ones?

I spent 2 years at 2 different schools, where to multiple reasons, I was forced to stop going each of the four semesters, therefore failing every semester.

Would I able to make a good case for the dean and request full withdrawals for each semester? I have a 4.0 at the community college I’m at now in a different state (made some changes) and have intent to get my life started, but those 2 years of GPA hold me back from having a good transfer gpa (the 4 year uni i’m going to calculates transfer gpa based on all college gpa).

Will the Ws (if it even works) improve my chances?

If all of this is unrealistic, what should I do? Apply anyways? I’ll have 2 semesters of 4.0 work, but 2 years previously of all Fs. What can I do? Am I completely screwed?

Generally, schools allow a very generous amount of time to withdraw before it is too lat, alot of time up until just before finals week. I think that you definately have this going against you. I would definately say that it is worth trying your best, but I think that really you have two options that are a sure way to make your situation better.

If it is feasable, you can retake those classes at that same school (given that you still need to take them), thus replacing those grades and changing your entire transcript. That is the only sure way to make it work.

If that is not feasable, you can definately file that petition, but throw in that you are willing to retake them at your new school. It may erase that entire trascript from ever needing to surface. This would definately have to be petitioned.

I say try to just beg the dean of that school, and if it doesn’t seem to be working, try to sweeten the deal with some of those 2 options.
