when u send a letter ( a envelope with a piece of paper in it), can u put other stuff in it like a coin?

just wodering when i send a mail, can i also put other things in it like a sovineir coin from seaworld?

there is a $.17 surcharge for that. the post office doesn’t like things like that in regular mail.

coins & keys are considered “nonmachinable.”

Sure – it’s better not to let the coin be loose in the envelope, though; it can cause problems with the mail-sorting machinery. The traditional method is to tape it to a piece of light cardboard or heavy paper and then fold the cardboard in half to cover the coin.

If the coin is less than 1/4″ thick there is no surcharge.
