Where can I find links for first time college freshman information?…?

I don’t want anything from a particular college or university – just general overall information.

We’re hosting a workshop on “preparing for college” for high school seniors – and the workshop is TOMORROW!!

Any links you give to me will be VERY much appreciated.

I ALWAYS pick a best answerer – so the person with the most useful links will get those 10 points for taking their time out to help me.

Thanks in advance!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Historically most of the seniors at our high school will attend the 3 state universities.

Get some historical back ground. Provide specific information on the schools your students will most likely attend.

Then also provide general information. But make sure those at the workshop know that it is general information .

In my experience insecure seniors want as much specific information as possible … perhaps you should be providing information on how to do on-line searches!!!!

This link is a starting place.

in my experience:

1. have money saved up

2. know the area around your school/dorm (specially if it’s in a diff city)

3. know something about your major and why you want to do it

4.. know something about the classes(specailly if it costs money to get a good grade/pass, ie buying art supplies)

5. make as many friends as possible

6. never slack off on homework and projects. it will pile up and get stressful

7. DONT worry about dating your first year. New students come every semester/quarter. ๐Ÿ˜‰

All i can think of for now
