What should I say in my speech for Drama Club?
I’m running for president of my high school’s drama club, and I’m required to write a speech. I’m not sure how to start, though. Any help would be appreciated. I’d like to include that this year if I’m elected I plan on raising money for field trips and other activities. Last year the officers weren’t active in the club, so we ended up not really doing anything. How do I let people know that I plan to change that?

As a new politician (yes, you are now in politics!), my best advice to you is to say exactly what you mean to do. No frills, no false promises, be straightforward. You can open your speech with a question: “What is the role of the drama club president?”, and proceed to answer it.
If you are the dramatic type, you could throw in a few NOT answers with appropriate gestures: “Is it the president’s job to faint gracefully into a chair before making a decision?” (Putting your hand to your forehead while making a die-away movement). this and a few more NOT answers will get your audience involved and interested in what you have to say.
