What’s the best way to follow up after networking?
I’m a 20 y/o university student and the other day when I was working with a customer at my summer job, he asked me to give me his contact information for a possible job or internship in the future at his biomedical engineering company (probably next summer). After talking a while, he told me I could ask for any position, and we traded phone #s and email addresses. What’s the best way to follow up just to keep in touch?

Send him a note of thanks for the opportunity over the summer and let him know you will be in touch regarding job opportunities in the future. You might even want to mention a project that you worked on and really enjoyed and segue it to “I hope we can work together again in the future”. A note is classy IMO.
