What percentage of Americans are uneducated?
I remember taking the verizon battery test and about 60% of the test takers did not pass it. The reading passages started off easy and became gradually harder. The passages never became too hard for me either and I am of average intelligence. The first passage was about a dog and one of the questions asked “Where is the dog?” The math part of the exam asked questions like 5+5=?. Are there are alot of americans who do not know these answers? Just curious.

Way to many people are uneducated and it’s growing every year. We as a country needs to have trade schools that inter mix trades with academics, real life applications. It seems like schools are like every thing else now a days just in it for the money.

Watch the movie Idiocracy. It’s not a particularly good movie but the premise is interesting.
Children graduating today do not have nearly the same skills in math, science, geography, civics, etc. as those who went to school 20 years ago.

There are different levels of education..to find a good statistic on each one is anyones guess.. since polls are not that accurate..especially in different ethnic grouped areas. Maybe you can get a general idea from here.
