Envelopes- Barcodes?
So I finished addressing a letter but when I go to http://www.sulross.edu/pages/3335.asp it says in some cases, customers apply their own bar code in the lower-right corner or in the address block.
My question is: how do I do it step by step?

You need special software to print barcodes. It’s not too expensive, but if you are only mailing one or two things, it’s not worth it.

Usually, those barcodes are only done by customers who are trying to get a break on their mailing costs by pre-sorting and pre-barcoding their mail. There’s really no incentive for most people to do it. Your bank may do it when they mail you the monthly statement, because they get like a penny or two break and if you’re mailing to 115,000 customers those pennies add up. But if you’re sending your mortgage check to your bank, you don’t get a break for pre-sorting and pre-labelling…
There’s plenty of commercial software to do it, but they probably don’t handle sending a single letter….
