Choosing a career is never about your grades, it’s always about your passions. Someone with a high aptitude for rocket science might love cleaning toilets, which is not a traditional career choice for a physics/chemistry genius.
To a degree however, you probably should also consider job prospects and wages. Although collecting sea shells and driftwood might sound fun, it wont exactly put the food on the table.
Also, if it’s a university course you seek, i suggest you attend open days. These are fantastic ways to give insights into what life at university is really like.
If you have no passions or dreams that really strike out at you at the moment, then maybe you should take a year off to decide where you’re headed. (providing that your school leaving scores are still relevant in a years time.) A number of my friends have done this – stayed at home for another year with part time employment locally. Then you can go travelling with all your new found wealth!
i hope this gives you food for thought!
Cheers 🙂
