What can’t you bring to UCLA Dorms?

I’m wondering what you can’t bring to the dorms and whether if it really matters. Do people check your room? Can’t you just hide certain items?

WHAT NOT TO BRING

Due to fire insurance and health and safety requirements, the following items are not allowed in your room or building:

halogen lamps

coffee makers

hot water dispensers

toasters

toaster ovens

freestanding microwaves*

an appliance with open coils

candles

gas stoves

barbecues

any flammable materials

electric space heaters

waterbeds

materials to make lofted beds

dartboards

* Due to limited electrical capacity, you may not have a separate microwave. However, you may want to rent a MicroFridge which is a combination microwave and refrigerator. Visit www.collegefridge.com/ucla for more information.

Students may not bring or maintain pets or animals of any kind in the residence halls. Fish are an exception, but the tank must not exceed 10 gallons.

im gonna be a freshman, but i think they arent going to look through your things. but you wont need most of those htings
