Try a community college. I’m sure you’ll make it. Don’t give up. I was having trouble with my freshman courses(got a “c” in one) at a 4-year college and got a B average at a top college.

Look, what you absolutely can’t do is drop out of H/S. If you drop out you WILL have limited job offers and you’ll probably just end up doing it over which would have wasted a whole year. You should keep a job and start saving up for college if your really not sure if your grades are good enough/ if your not doing serious sports because without those scholarships will also be limited. Its the beginning of the year so try as hard as you can to pick your grades up. Now if its really impossible to get your grades up by the middle/end of the year you could consider dropping out but during your absent days you should use your time for money making. One last thing if you do drop out at the end remember you have to go through everything you did already and now youre a year behind so get moving and try to take at least one college course so the year goes faster if you can handle all that. In the end its your choice. Which sounds better?

You should definitely go to college. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

If you do not have the money right away, join the Air Force and you can get money for college. Do not join the Army, because you will be sent to Iraq.

Enroll in a Community College, work on your GPA for 2 years. Then transfer to a 4 year college after that.

Major in something that really interests you, such as Computers, Business etc. Also take elective courses that may help you out. Economics is a great elective course, because it will help you understand the stock market, and supply and demand. Statistics is also a good elective, because it will help you understand how polls are taken, variances etc.

This is a great time in your life, take full advantage of it.

Well first off I bet you could more effort into school as you do gettin High(got bud!) But here’s the deal finish high school your so close to the end why give up now? Then you can go to a community college. It’s not as big as a commitment you can still work and decide where your life should go from there. Don’t be another statistic in this already hard world for young Black men at least try to make something of yourself no matter what you do go hard!

Yes, go to college, especially since you live in Boston. I moved to the Boston area from upstate NY and found that, though many other areas find a HS grad acceptable, in Boston a college degree is considered basic education. There are a load of colleges and universities here and all those grads are pouring out to compete with you.

Dont drop out that is the worst thing you can possibly do. Finish school and go to college so you can have nice things and not have to work in a fast food resturant.

Do NOT drop out of high school. If you do, you will find that your employment opportunities are very limited. It’s fine to wait a year to see if you really want to go to college, or just take one or two courses while you work. But if you drop out of high school, you are really shooting yourself in the foot.

do not drop out finish high skool and then go to college and get tutors to help you out to get better grades dont give up i know school is hard but you need to face those obstacles

i say finish high school, work for a year,at that time you will know what do you want in life and you will get good grades since u more imature about it
