I think so. Once a cheater, always a cheater. The fact that they go INTO the sport planning on cheating says something about their character.

Too radical. They should be given a penalty for a specific amount of time, tested on a regular basis if they go back and participate in their sports field. Banned for life is a little over the top, don’t you think? Especially if they are willing to stop taking steroids, clean their system, and sign a contract stating they will not go back to taking the drug again.
Why ruin a great athletics’s career or potential career because they made a mistake and are willing to rectify it?
