This project would probably considered a Capstone which is a way of bringing it all together. It is a way for you to demonstrate a depth of conceptual understanding and an ability to apply concepts in a real life situations. You will apply what you have learned to a defined project that is relevant to your own situation. This will help you realize what you actually have learned during school and also apply the concepts you may have thought were a waste of time. Another point to remember is that many parents were not educated in the same manner as you are. The education you are receiving is much better than the days of your parents.

Your senior project is your capstone experience – your opportunity to really pull together all of your knowledge, across subject lines, and synthesize it into something fabulous. It demonstrates your ability to integrate different themes on a deeper level. I don’t understand what’s not “right” about this.
