When did schools stop teaching people how to spell??? Hello! There’s even a spell check button on here.

Schools still teach people how to spell.
If you’re simply referring to the way people online type & spell, I have no answer for you. But they do indeed know how to spell but choose to disregard it because (according to the few people I asked) spelling “lyke dis ish much kooler”.

they probably stopped because of SPELL CHECK considering most people use computers for almost everything, especially when it comes to school work, so it cheats the teachers out of making their students rely on themselves. they probably think that as long as they teach you the basics such as the alphabet and grammar then you’ll be fine.
as for the check spelling on here…try writing a long question/answer and see how much longer it takes for the spell check to work.

Well, not people are using Iming language, even I used it too! School still teach, but we use it in certain place ! Like me, I use real language at school and paper work! But when I communicate with my friends, I use IMing language!
