Metric System HELP!!?
Favorite Answer
length = meter (we use inches, feet, yards, miles, etc)
weight = gram (we use pounds, tons, etc.)
volume = liter ( we use ounces, cup, pint, quart, gallon, etc.)
the metric system uses prefixes
kilo = 1000 thus kilometer = 1000 meters
deca = 10 decameter = 10 meters
deci= tenth thus decigram = 1/10 of a gram
centi = hundredth thus centigram = 1/100 of a gram
milli = thousandths thus milliliter = 1/1000 of a liter
rather than going in to their equivalents go to the following web site and have fun……
