if you work in another country do you get paid in their currency?

for instance if i go work in england as a welder would i get paid buy the pound and be able to put it in an america bank where it would be worth twice as much

If you work for an overseas company, you get paid in their currency. If you work for an American company and are hired in America, but working overseas, you may be paid in dollars. Either way, you can still have the funds deposited in an American bank where it will be converted to dollars.

It normally works that way,but you then have to set up a link with your home bank, it’s often easier if your bank is linked with the bank in the UK, for example in S.A, ABSA and Barkley’s are inter linked.
