I guess I would side with using plastic plates and cups because the paper plates and cups I have seen have a plastic-type coating on them anyway. Plastic can be washed and reused.

What they really want us to do for the environment, is to take reusable bags of canvas, hemp, or cotton to the stores with us, and not take any of the store bags at all.

That is also why many fast-food and convenience stores now have reusable hot and cold cups–and they give you a discount if you use them, rather than take a paper/styrofoam/plastic cup.

paper dosen’t really strangle a seal in a ocean.

plastic does kill seals.

paper isn’t always recycled.

becasue its environmental friendly and plastic takes a lot of time to get decomposed and its not environmental friendly. it causes pollution.
