well i have a few pointers. – high school will seem like its the longest biggest adventure of ur life. it will feel like that constantly, like itll never be over. there will be ups, there will be downs, there will be mean people, weird people, snobby people, and so on. and the best peice of advice i can give u is no matter what, never ever change ur opinion to fit in or be cool. people will respect u so much more if u stay true to urself. at times it wont feel that way. but so much of the drama associated with high school is kids trying to ‘be cool’. if u ever need advice, please, email me.

It’s really not that different from being in a mall when there are lots of people walking up and down the hall. Having a locker is no big deal, it’s just where you store your books and coat if you have one and your lunch if you pack one. Basically when one class is over you go back to your locker and grab your books to your next class, and then head to class. It helps if you get to know the people whose lockers are near yours as you will be seeing a lot of them. Also I should mention that lockers sections are usually sorted by grade level, such as all freshman lockers are in one area, all sophomore lockers in another area, etc.

You’ll catch on pretty quick. It can be a little tricky for everyone when they first change classes, but within two weeks you’ll be able to do it in your sleep. 🙂

Just try your best to relax on the first day of class. Most teachers understand that everyone is figuring out their new schedule and will go easy on you if you are late or get lost.

If you’re really worried about getting lost (it can be tricky finding where classrooms are) try to go walk your schedule at school either at open house or just stop by the week b4 class starts. There’s nothing wrong with walking around the school beforehand to get yourself oriented.

You might see if you are allowed to go visit the campus before school begins, just to get a feel for the lay out. Teachers are understanding when you are new to the campus.

On day one smile if you can, because others are nervous/new also. Almost everyone is looking for kindness. Try and make lunch plans with someone in one of your morning classes. And when you get to lunch try to include/invite others to join your table.

On the academic front just stay organized and follow through on your assignments.

some people dont use lockers, they just use their bags. personally, i use my locker between almost every class because the books just get too heavy. I would definitely recommend a sport or a club. at my high school, people who do sports make alot of good friends. good luck!

It’s not really tricky. People are a little bit more mature by high school. Different schools have different policies, but it would probably be a good idea to get involved in some clubs or teams. that also helps you to meet people and make friends.

i mainly try to route out the most appropriate times to go to my locker accoding to distance, time, and the amount of books i need to grab… its not that difficult. Besides the teachers are always helpfull to the freshmen because they are new to the school.
