Hi there! I am from Miami, FL. I am not particularly sure in what area of Florida you are looking to obtain your license BUT in Miami Dade College (Medical Campus) has a wonderful, quick acclerated nursing program. Go to this website and search for the program of your choice. They also have normal paced courses for the RN program.

Most of my friends are nurses and as long as you know your material, it truly is not that hard to pass.

Remember: Hard Work + Dedication = Success

Good Luck!

If you don’t already have a license you would need to go to Florida and take the classes and test. The length of the classes depends on which program you sign up for.

If you already have a license you can apply for reciprocity once you have a Florida residence.

I am a nurse and if you have no medical background – yes it is hard. I worked as a CNA prior to going to school which helped so much!

Good luck!

Have you called the state board of nursing? Here in SC, your license is good in all 50 states. I thought that was everyone. Obviously not, but check on it.

The prohibition on gun possession for convicted felons is a *federal* restrict. this implies that convicted felons are forbidden to possess weapons for the duration of the finished u . s ., even with the state wherein the conviction occurred. in the adventure that your pal is caught with a gun in Florida – even even with the undeniable fact that his legal conviction became in Connecticut – he would be arrested…and on federal costs, at that, which makes the region much extra intense. i’m no longer specific, yet i think of the punishment for gun possession by a convicted felon runs someplace around 10-12 years in federal reformatory. looking on a number of factors – the crime your pal became convicted of, the state regulations/innovations of Connecticut, etc. – he can attempt to petition the state to have some/all of his civil rights restored (this will additionally provide him decrease back the awesome to vote, between others). although, undergo in innovations that the state can fix his different civil rights and nonetheless refuse to do away with the restrict on firearm possession…and under federal regulation/technique, in spite of the fact that the convicting state (as a result, Connecticut) comes to a decision to do, that’s what’s going to stand federally. in the adventure that your pal comes to a decision to pass this path, he desires to look for suggestion from with a lawyer to be certain precisely what his ideas are. desire this solutions your question…stable success.
