The most I can offer you would be to lay low for the first year, to sort of understand the inner workings of your particular high school. Other than that, just treat like any year, not much has changed besides the tangible things. (size of school, number of kids, more competition, etc.)

Sincerely,

its really not as bad as everyone says it is. But, highschool definetly gets better each year, so yeah freshmen year is the worst but its bearable. lol, I will be a junior next year so I remember my freshmen year, and I never got picked on or anything, in fact no one really new I was a freshmen. I remember people in my classes thought I was a junior or senior!(i dont know why I am such a nerd) But, just dont try to act cool or anything just be yourself and I am sure that your freshmen year will be a blast!

good luck

freshmen year was the best year of highschool for me. i met about a million new people and had a ton of new friends and a big group of people i hung out with. i had this huge basement and i would throw parties just with my friends about twice a week. it was more like a get together i guess. it wasn’t wild or anything.. we just sat around and played video games and ate snacks and stuff. tip? if you have a group of friends you hang out with, have them over!

There was a lot of drama that was carried on from middle school, I think. so yes, Freshman year was not the best. The best thing to do is to not dis your old Friends but, to also make new Friends to all and all. Smile and get a long with your teachers and every thing will be all right.

I had a lot of fun- I met new people, and it seemed like the jerks who made junior high Hell kind of fell by the wayside- they weren’t king of the mountain anymore. I would recommend joining some clubs and making friends with some upperclassmen.

It was really hard adjusting socially. My advice would be to find an ally your own age and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. Do your best in your classes because thats what will matter later in life (i know, i hated it when older people told me that, but it was true!!). Finding friends and being accepted will all work itself out as you mature.

Oh I had a blast!

Just be nice to everyone and try to figure things out on your own or ask another freshman. Upper class men like to play to many jokes on under classmen.
