3.Don’t burden your body with too heavy works &

your mind with Greed (or too much ” desire ” ) for anything .

4. Take proper Rest .

5. Hear good musics.

Have some fun also with good movies or with your friends

( get out of your cloistered room and enjoy a walking, inhaling the fresh air.).

6. Be in solitude for some time daily.

Do read the scripture ( my Bible also ) &

meditate and pray.

7. Let your room where you take rest be properly ventilated.

Avoid using heighted fiber beds (which heats up your body and makes it painful & tired ).

( While taking rest , in many places of the world people use Moquito-Coils to drive away Mosquitos .That also causes great uneasiness and tireness to people )Instead of using Mosquito ciols or sprayers one can use Mosquito nets. There are places where there is no mosquitos also .

8. Always try to wear pure cotten garments and use try to artificial beds .

9. Try to avoid any thing made of Plastic (there are harmful cots &chairs also woven with plastic threads.)

10. Don’t use Fans also with high speed ( which too cause body pain to some people ).

11. Don’t look in to the artificial and luxurious world ,but be satisfied with the simple and humble things which God God has provided you with .

12.Visit and enjoy natural sceneries (esp.sea- shores ,valleys,montains,water-falls ,archards and flower gardens and peaceful parks.

13. Touch tender things( avoid rough and artificial and not natural beds also to take rest) ,smell pleasent things , Take tasty things and drinks, hear sweet musics,and Speak and hear kind and loving words.

14. Don’t invite unneccary problems .

Take vegetables ,fruits and other light items.

17. Always drink natural (boiled or filtered ) water.

I have taken many coping with stress classes, lectures, therapy, in-patient, out-patient, self help books, etc. The best advice I ever got was BREATHE! Inhale deeply then exhale slowly counting off the seconds until you get a little calmer. While still doing the breathing exercise mentally investigate what caused the ripple. Keep doing the breathing exercise as you come up with solutions….if you do not concentrate on the problem and focus your mind on the solution, not only will you feel better, you’ll sleep better as well. Positive affirmations also help. For example, instead of telling yourself oh no nothing worked, you tell yourself that the best solution is next. Another thing I do when I feel stressed to the max and I can’t think straight is tell myself (actually I have a business size card with that written on that I read) “Insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over again yet expecting different results” and then I try to figure out what I keep doing the same and change it. Instead of asking yourself “what am I doing wrong?” ask yourself “what can I do different?” I used to have panic attacks so severe I could have qualified for disability. After 20 years of suffering I just got a handle on life during the past 2 years. I learned it’s all in how you look at it. You can look at life as a stressed out person full of problems or you can relax and see your life as filled with all kinds of creative solutions. This all may sound corny til you finally get a grip on yourself.

Relaxation techniques are great. Instead of typing them all out for you, I’ll link you to some sites that should help you.

My favorite technique is doing something I enjoy, like singing, drawing, or watching a movie. If I can’t use those methods (like if I’m out at the store or something) I’ll close my eyes and take a deep breath then I let it out slowly while counting to 10. Most people say that if you say the alphabet backwards in your mind that you can’t think of what is troubling you, but I have a photographic mind, where I can actually see the entire alphabet at once — so saying it backwards is just as easy as saying it forward for me. That’s why I don’t use that method.

It also helps to get regular exercise. And, if your stress gets in the way of you living your life, you may need to see your doctor about it. Sometimes we have things like ADHD or bi-polar which leaves our minds restless and easily stressed.

There is a book about the hypnotic state produced by walking. It explains how walking clears your head and is the best stress remover. The back and forth rythem puts your mind in a state of tranquility. My sister has the book. (I can get the title later)

Walk for half an hour, or walk for an hour (that is best).

Walking without being disturbed by people that will talk or cars is also best.

I have personal experience of it . I must say it is my saving grace. (the only other thing I do is chanting japa, (mantra meditation. When I combine that with walking, it is double potent)

As far as food goes, (for stress ) B vitamins are the STRSS VITAMINS. Nutritional yeast (which is packed with B’s) is my favorite stress food. I like it with popcorn the best. (it’s good in soups, rice and veggies etc.)

When i get stressed i stand back and take a deep breath and think of something i love in my life, that brings a smile to me and i am in a better mood.

Try to break up your stressors into a list of bite-sized goals. Writing them down as action items will help put them into perspective and make them feel less intimidating individually. Plus you get the satisfaction of being able to cross them off your list as you go. Are you getting enough sleep? Sleep deprivation can magnify these kinds of things manyfold.

I find that thrashing someone is quite satisfying and relieves stress quite well. (Physically…maybe even verbal thrashing but not quite as good as physical). 😉
