These days, there are really no inventions. We call them designs. We use different pieces that have been invented long ago into parts of our design.

Maybe a new recipe would also do.

Or an oddly shaped fly swatter?

I hope he has at least given them plenty of time, and assigned partners, and pointed out a few things that could use a new product or technique to do things.

I had an idea once for a towel I was going to call “Flat and Fluffy”–very light-weight weight on both ends, and thick in the middle, so you could wrap your wet hair, and wind the ends as a turban without having to carry a mountain on your head. You can have that one if you want; shouldn’t be very hard to construct a prototype. Just attach a couple of cheap, light bath towels to either end of a nice, heavy hand towel.

Besides, let him do his own homework.
