First and most important is to do better in school. Go to all your classes, don’t miss even one and study. if you have trouble ask the instructor for extra help.

Second, petition the school to remove the withdraws or finish the incomplete. If you have these, this will significantly up your GPA.

One last note, always start a new class with an advantage. Email your teacher before classes start and drum up some conversation, a question or comment. This will give the instructor the feeling that you really want to learn and then they will recognize your name before classes even start. Then on the first day of class, stay after class and introduce yourself to the instructor, try and come up with some question or something. Then the instructor puts your face in their memory and now knows your name and face before the other students. Make sure the first assignment you are given that you do a great job. Because then the instructor will know your name, face and that your a good student in the first week. The instructor will then always expect your papers to be good, so they will grade easier. This works.
