how to stop laziness?

how can i stop my procrastination/ laziness. I need to make the basketball team this year,(im a junior in high school) while mainting a 3.5 gpa which i only gotten once in high school. I can do it its jsut that im really lazy. To start off, i have so much homework and studying in Honors Pre-cal, and physics. I really want to make the basketball team. During this summer i trained really hard and got better. But three weeks after school started, ive hardly excersised and practiced. Plus i only get an average of 6-7 hours of sleep. While during the summer i got 8-10. When i sit down to do my homework, i dont feel like doing it, what can i do to fix that? plus i dont have the will to go outside and practice yet i really wnat to. What should i do???? o and if u r wondering what schedule im running, i wake up 6;30 am, leave from school 2 pm and aim to sleep at 10;30(which is rare :()

Make an appointment with your counselor and have a talk. They can be pretty helpful or recommend someone who is. Good luck. Breathe deep and take walks

Inner-motivation is a tough thing to learn, and you will likely always fight it; I do. My tips, from many years of procrastination: 1) Do the most difficult thing first, when you are less tired-start your homework in the afternoon-don’t wait until after dinner;. 2) Give up TV and video games altogether, at least for a month or so until you get in the groove of putting school work and exercise first (Get your parents or a friend to lock them up in their trunk or something.); 3) When your brain is too tired for more homework, go exercise; 4) Eat good food: sugar and chips will make you tired-have a piece of cheese, a handful of nuts, a piece of fruit, or peanut butter on celery for snacks; 5) Turn off the cell phone, the Internet, and just go for it without interruptions. 6) Go to bed earlier! You will have more energy for both homework and basketball if you do.

A good way I get myself to study is to tell myself that I am just going to study for 5 minutes. This starts you studying and before you know it you have studied for 20 min. Another thing is to set rewards for yourself, if I study for 1hr I can go watch TV for 30min (need to be careful not to keep watching TV). If you study for an 1hr make sure you have a study break for 5-10mins just to recharge as you will retain information better than studying all the way through.

You see yourself as a procrastinator/ lazy person. Therefore you act like one. Motivate yourself everyday. By saying am going to do this and doing it.
