How can I find the GPA (Grade Point Average) of my grades?
Favorite Answer
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0
This is how the standard GPA system works (although there are other variations, so you may want to ask your school counselor):
Add up all your grades based on the list above, then divide the sum by how many classes you took. For example, let’s say you have six classes and earned 3 As, 2 Bs and a C:
3*4 = 12
2*3 = 6
1*2 = 2
20/6 = 3.333…. So your GPA is about 3.33
B = 3 pts
C = 2 pts
D = 1 pt
F = 0
For each class, multiply the points for your letter grade by the credit hours you earned for that class. This is your grade point total for that class. Add your grade point totals for each class to get your total number of grade points for the semester. Divide your total number of grade points by your total credit hours to get your GPA for the semester.
