English or General English in High school?

im in a high school in NZ and i need you guys to give me opinions about whether english or general english best suits me. i heard english is more of literature stuff that involves reading and analyzing shakespeare classics. not really into that. but on the other hand general english usually emphasizes on creative writing like essays and all that.. is it true? coz i do prefer writing those factual essays than reading hamlet.

By your definitions, English sounds like it is English Literature, and General English is Grammar and Writing. You will use General English more, but in college, you will probably be required to take English Literature anyway. So based on that and your preference for writing, my advice is to take General English in HS and take English or English Literature once it is required.

because you are more interested on writing,i think general English suits your passion.Yes you are correct,general English is more on the writing than the reading style. Like me,i love reading and writing and i am very lucky to be the part of the SS class(DOST Phils. scholar) who gave me opportunity to have two units in English,math and biology.Back to your situation,Think you must balance everything than choose anything,you must look forward to read those hamlets and sonnets so it’ll be balance between grammar and literature.

if i were u i choose the general English coz whole of the life you’ll write everything especially in some red-tapes. english is sounds like an information about the culture. noone ‘ll ask u about shakespeare but into the life always someone will force u to write something 😉 this is your life so.. chose your best 🙂

Not sdure on the differences between the two classes, because i don’t go to your school. But If you plan on going to college take the writing classes, they’ll help you out more than reading books.

in my view I want English subs over dubs as a results of fact in dubs the translation isn’t as precise as that is in the subs. i’ve got seen OHSHC in the two subbed and dubbed and that i enjoyed the two in spite of the fact that it relatively relies upon. with a view to take excitement in the anime and not pause it such a large style of situations once you’re observing it subbed, that is beneficial to observe the dubbed as a exchange. the two are superb. definitely, OHSHC is likely considered one of the extra beneficial dubs in anime, so that is relatively your decision.
