You will probably not be able to get your GPA up to 3.0 by the end of 2007/08 school year.

Assuming that it is only your grades that are holding you back, college is still a possibility. You should probably start out by doing a two year degree program at a communitee college and then plan to transfer to a four year college later.

If you choose to do that than check on the general education requirements for the University that you plan to transfer to so that you can get as many of those classes out of the way as you can. There is a good chance that you will be able to enter the University as a Junior after two years at the community college.

In any case, it is a good idea to think about why your grades are low and what, if anything, you can change to ensure that you do better in college before you make your decision.

First of all you normally have to have at least a 2.0 if not a 2.5 *** GPA to get into most universities. So that probably isn’t an option, look into the community colleges in your area. You don’t look like you have very good study skills by looking at your gpa and your test scores, so maybe you should take some study skill classes. You also need to get more serious about your grades, especially if you are considering college. If you get into college you will be put on Student Academic Probation if you continue with your study habits.

Teachers wouldn’t let you into AP classes with your current GPA, you have to have a high GPA to be able to succeed in those classes.

Go for it! Your SAT scores are decent, try for a community college (If you cant bring up the gpa).BUT You CAN bring that GPA up, you should have at least a 3.0 to get into a good college. Forget about class ranking it is not so important. I hope that you will be in college when I’m in my sophmore year there!

If you get straight A’s it may be possible to have a good gpa.

YOU ARE NOT WASTING YOUR TIME

obviously you are smart from those scores, just bring the grades up.

Your not waisting your time trying to get good grades. If you want a 3.0 by the end of next year then you should definitely try to get 4.0’s in all your classes. A 3.5 might be enough though. Are you taking any advanced classes? If you are then aim for a 5.0 in those (if that’s offered, at my school it is) but i wouldn’t recommend switching to advanced now.

I definitely think you should apply for college. State colleges will usually let in more people then private ones, but i really think you should apply. You can’t get in if you don’t send out the forms. Good luck.

It is not a question of “dropping out”, you are merely looking for an alternative way to finish the education you desire, because what you are doing now does not seem to work for you; that is really not that uncommon.

You can take a break, and look into self paced on line programs, classes at an adult education center, or local community college/ Vo-tech.

There is always more than one way to obtain an education, you do not have to follow the traditional route.

Good luck.

you arent wasting your time. When i was in high school i couldnt have cared less about grades and college. My senior year i decided i wanted to go to college and pulled my gpa up.. only to about a 2.3 and went to a community college for 1.5 years worked hard and got my GPA up to a 3.6 in college, then i applied to a private college and got in and joined honor societies and everything. Dont let people fool you into thinking that you arent smart enough or good enough. If you work hard and are going for something you really want, then you can do it. The question is do you want to go to college or do you want to do something that only requires a year or so in a tech school. Think about what YOU want.. then get it. Good luck.

You can still go to college. I go to a state university, and they accept people with lower gpa’s. They’ll usually put you on academic probation for a semester and see how you do. Also apply at community colleges.

It’s absolutely not out of the question! Keep trying. If you want to go, you can do it.

getting an education is NEVER a waste of time…i learned that the hard way. so unless u wanna work at mcdonalds, flipping burgers for the rest of your life, i would suggest applying to somewhere. if you’re not sure about how well you’ll do at a university, start at a community college and see how you like it…hope this helped! good luck! and dont ever give up!

Unless they are going to get a certain shot QB or RB for him, they have to hold him. The “different” AP is not even almost a starter and Benson is in general wherein this offense appears to guide them.

Have you talked with the school counselor? Your parents? Perhaps you shoudl consider a vocational program.
