I believe in God and his divine plan for the universe with include the evolution of humanity from mere proto-life to the complex creatures that we are today. Science is just a tool for us to understand the true glory that is God and how the universe works – Creationism is an effort by human beings to stunt human achievement through educated study based on fear.

You mean “Evolution”, not “Evaluation”, of course. I have studied religion, done comparitive religion studies, and found that, in the end, the “Universal divine” is a manifestation of something within us all, NOT a separate, pre-existant, remote spiritual entity. While our individual interpretations thereof may be different because of cultural mythological interpretational differences, and those differences have certainly been exacerbated and magnified by organized religion, it really IS all one. Since that “Universal divine ” is from and within us all, cannot have been pre-existant apart from us, I cannot accept creation as a premise. This leaves Evolution. Science is on the verge of demonstrating that the chemical proceses that are theorized to have caused life can happen again under re-creations of conditions extant in the early days of the planet. Perhaps the fact that WE are the result of a chain of happenstance chemical reactions and natural selection, as opposed to being deliberately made to exist, will be humbling and demoralizing to some, might cause socio-cultural upheaval, butt that can be dealt-with. Perhaps if we took religion out of the social drivers-seat, we’d be better off as a species, how much death and destruction, how much evil, has been perpetrated becuse of religion?

Evaluation? Slap your-self. Come on. You are the kind of person who shoots his friend with a gun because you were fooling around and didn’t check if it was loaded. I believe the Bible. I do believe that changes happen in nature as a result of survival of the fittest however. It says in the Bible. In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth, and everything in it.
