How do you get hired when people won’t call you?

At the time I thought what I did was great, I moved up fast, now I see a guy in sales getting a paycheck 5 digits big, twice , my bosses gave themselves 100,000+ bonus checks last year after saying they couldn’t afford to give me a raise then bonuses for a few employees as well. My problem is that I think they just don’t care, I know employers can do as they wish.

My problem is I can’t get hired other places because people won’t even bother responding to my applications. Now I type 90+ a min, I am also an MCSA(term for computer certification it means I know MS Server 2003, a regular workstation like XP or Vista, and an elective), have my Comptia A+ certs, and I know how to implement things well in financial systems and others. Is the economy just this bad in the US right now or should I change my strategy? I keep ending up doing more of people’s work here and I can’t hear back much from places I apply, should I quit instead of induce more stress or know it’s tough everywhere away.

Keep trying other venues. I went 6 months before I was able to land a better job. It’s hard to watch others milking the company when your doing all the hard work. Keep your head held high, you’ve done nothing wrong, someone is watching I’m sure and your turn to shine will come. If not, it wasn’t meant for someone like you to be in a company that is filled with brown-nosers.
