whew this requires a looong answer (which i will abreviate) what kind of psychologist do you want to be? do you want to teach, do research, counsel, consult? its a really broad field and many with degrees find plenty of work in other fields.

being a ‘psychologist’ requires a psyD or phd degree thats a lot of years! there are many web sites that have vast amounts fo information psychology.com is good but have a search through those career guiding sites too (the free ones) and take a interest inventory and see where that leads you

17 is still young to be determined set on a definite career path. you could always taek one or two class in psyc and see how you like those

what makes it fun? the variety seeign new people regularly seeing a patient overcome something, maign progress, having research results you wanted, developing new techniques, being with people all the time

As of rite now im pursuing a minor in psychology with a major in elementary education. I love kids and if the whole teaching thing doesnt suit me, I wouldnt mind being a childs psychologist.

Psychology is a good subject if you are willing to get your master’s and ph’d in it. I think that undergrad psychology is pretty easy, but after that (graduate coursework) it gets pretty challenging…but it all depends on the person…rite now im working on my undergraduate courses… Psychology is a good field, you can work with those who have mental illnesses and many problems . you can also counsel those with marital problems drug addictions and such things like that. Im looking forward to doing more research myself…good luck!
