I never thought I would be one of those kids whose parents would have to tell them to pack their belongings and move out. Although I am not a troubled child and I don’t cause a lot of problems, one night my mom and I just totally blew up on each other. Before I knew it, I was being told to get out, that I was not welcome in my own home anymore.

As I packed my stuff one thing at a time, I had someone there for me whom I knew I could count on. She is one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. She is an excellent influence on me, whether it is for motivation to get health and car insurance or to look at things differently. She has helped me realize that being dependent isn’t always a good thing, that being able to be independent will make me stronger and a more organized person. She is my Aunt Vicki.

Vicki has a way of holding my attention no matter what she is telling me. A bomb can go off behind me and I might be distracted for that one second because of the loud boom but I am would go right back to what she was talking about. I just love to listen to what she has to say. I might not be able to elaborate on it, or give advice or know anything about it, but that’s the beauty of Aunt Vickie. She has that intelligence, so that what she is telling you is fact. She is not just sitting there telling you about something she doesn’t know anything about. Because she can hold my attention, she has really taught me many things that I can use now and later on in life.
