first step is to graph the line y = 3x – 2. This will have a slope of 3 so going upward from left to right, and a y-intercept of -2. Points are (0, -2), (1,1), (2, 4), etc. The line will be on both sides of the y-axis, i.e., continuous. This line should be dotted for graphing purposes, not solid, as you want values less than these points, which are below the line. This is indicated by shading the entire area below your dotted line. These are (x,y) points whose value is less than that defined by the given equation.

unless you have a value for x and y, it isn’t possible to graph it…unless I have absolutely no idea what I am saying.
