On a scale of 1 cm : 2 km, the plan of the field measures 5 cm by 3.5 cm on the map. Find the actual area of the field.

Since 1 centimeter equals 2 kilometers and Area equals length times width (A= L*W), double the numbers given, and multiply to find the area. So, 10 km* 7 km = 70 km.

to work out out you go 2 divided by 1 which equals 2.
so then you just multiply 5 by 2 which is 10 and 3.5 by 2 which is 7
The actual area of the field measures 10km by 7km.
