You might want to narrow that even further.

For example, is there a particular “adult service” which interests you most? Perhaps online access to library accounts?

Are there certain types of community libraries which may be of more interest to you (e.g., rural vs urban).

A research question which is too broad can come back to bite you.

In addition, you realize that is not a research question, I’m sure. If you need to formulate and/or prove a hypothesis, you’ll probably want to start with a research question (e.g., Do adults from rural, community libraries utilize online services more or less frequently than adult patrons of urban community libraries?).

Best of luck on your thesis,

It’s hard to tell if it is too broad. That all depends on the length of the thesis and if it is at the doctoral or master’s level. Regardless, if the professor thinks it is too broad, instead of focusing on “various” services, choose two that are on opposite ends of the spectrum and argue the differences between the two and the effect they will have on the age group you are looking at.
