Alberta is home to Banff, Calgary and Edmonton. Banff is a major resort and vacation destination, Calgary has one of the world’s biggest rodeos (Calgary Stampede), and Edmonton is the only city I know of that has a ski jump in the city park. How cool is that?
Saskatchewan is just fun to say. So is Saskatoon. And for real fun, say Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ten times quickly. You can’t help but smile.
I am not familiar with Manitoba, but I’m sure Manitobans really like it there.
Quebec is a French wannabe province. They do have a nice ice festival in Montreal, though, it you like that sort of thing.
PEI is the home of Anne of Green Gables. I’d like to visit some of the places mentioned in the books. It’s also the only province that is an island.
Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick are the other maritime provinces. Anyone who likes going down to the sea in ships will like to visit them. All I remember of Newfoundland is flying into Gander in 1952 in a U.S. military flight and having to have two soldiers hold my hands to get me from the plane to the terminal because the wind was so strong that children would be blown away if adults didn’t hand onto them. What an adventure!
Oh, I almost forgot the Bay of Fundy. Is that New Brunswick? I think so. Anyway, it’s the place that has the highest, wildest tides on the planet. Trust me.
