Why is the field of view under high-power magnification less than that under low-power magnification?
Why is the field of view under high-power magnification less than that under low-power magnification?
this has to do with grade 8 science.

If you think of magnification as “zooming in” on something, it makes sense. The more you zoom in on a scene (think of using a telescope or binoculars or the zoom function on your digital camera), the greater detail you see of a smaller and smaller portion of the overall picture.
Since your display device (eyes, screen, film) does not grow larger as magnification goes up, you simply lose the stuff on the outer edges as you zoom in. The field of view gets smaller but the amount of details on the smaller area increases.
