The first two answers are correct. Also, critical reading requires you to figure out the main points and most important arguments in a piece of writing. It also requires you to think about who the author is, what their reputation is, who their primary audience is, what their main purposes or goals are, and how they make these things clear in their writing. This is just some of the important information to consider.

Writing never occurs in isolation — it’s always embedded in a certain time, place, culture and network of other writings. A critical reader pays attention to these things while reading, and thinks about why they matter.

For every information there is always a clear main theme. Critically if one goes through it’s easy to catch it.eg:Read a news but if you see the heading .secondly even in a story there is a moral or the end might give an idea.

Yeah, it has over the years i think of, and subsequently *maximum* mainstream movies are without subtlety… yet tbh i think of many of the superb movies ever have been produced this decade, this is my in demand decade for movies in certainty, as I care extra in regards to the stable ones than the undesirable ones. so some distance as track, yeah i’m going to accept as true with Vicky, different than i might say the society and the subculture can impact one yet another, somewhat than subculture in basic terms reflecting society. i’m uncertain if this “loss of subtlety” is unavoidably a bad factor in *all* factors of society, probable this is a blend, as specially circumstances attempting to be diffused can get in the way. MQ: i’m going to pass with The Door – Neal Morse, in regards to the tale of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. BQ: quite i’m going to agree the older Horror movies are some distance extra ideal, Poltergeist counts i think of, enjoyed that one.

Part of reading critically is to be able to discern the important and unimportant.

It’s also really paying attention to what’s going on. Who are the characters? What are they about? If it’s non-fiction, what is the story they are telling? What impact do you think it has? Is there anything you particularly like about it?

It’s like poetry. You’re breaking it down as you read it.
