Physics need to make sure I got did this right?

To pass a physical fitness test, Marcella must run 1000 m at an average speed of 4.00 m/s. She runs the first 475 m at an average of 3.94 m/s. What should be her average speed over the last 525 m in order to finish with an overall average speed of 4.00 m/s?

_____ m/s

I can only submit this once so I have to make sure I did it right so asking you guys to reassure.

Thanks a bunch

4*1000=4000

3.94*475=1871.5

2128.5/525=4.0542857

Note, there are many different ways this can be done, but they should all give the same answer, here is the method I would use:

1000m / 4.0 m/s = 250 seconds that she has to run the distance

475m / 3.94m/s = 120.558 seconds that she used up running the first section

250-120.558= 129.442 seconds she has left, during which she must cover the remaining 525m

525m/129.442s = 4.056 m/s (average speed she must run for the remainder of the race)
