Which of the following sentences uses loaded language? From Patrick Henry’s March 23, 1775 speech, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

We have petitioned… and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament.

They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with such an adversary.

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

In my opinion, the most loaded statement is the last (and most famous), “give me liberty or give me death.” The statement, while powerful, implies that there are only two choices available, liberty and death. And from the passage, overall, you can draw from it that the only way to attain liberty is to risk one’s life, presumably in rebellion. Such absolute choices and strong implications are chocked full of loaded language.

Good question!
