standard form: y = m x + b

m = slope (coefficient of x) also.. the number in front of x

b = y-intercept

in your case,

the slope is 3 & y-intercept is 5.

?
it incredibly is suggested as the slope/intercept form of the equation because of the fact it substances those values devoid of any added paintings. while coefficient of y is a million, then coefficient of x is the slope = 3 and the y intercept is the consistent =5

y-intercept you have to find the value of y.

y=3x+5 -substitute 0 for x

y=3(0)+5

y=5

For the slope you use the equation y=mx+b

m is the slope. So the slope is 3.
