A primary source is a source taken from a person who actually lived during the time period of the event and may have been a witness.
EX: An diary by an Egyptian woman; something written by a scribe

A primary source is one that deals directly with the subject, in your case egypt. A secondary source would be a source that is based on what someone else wrote about your subject. Most sources will be primary sources except criticisims. If you find an article written by an egyptian scientist about living in egypt for example that would be a primary source.

A primary source is information that can be trusted. Like a quote, or newspaper clippings, articles, etc. I did a project once and I had to do that for my bibliography.
