God’s Word is Truth
First, read the book. Next, know what the teacher expects. How long does he expect the report to be? Will he allow you to be creative in your report? Does it have to be written? Could you write a song about how the protagonist changed and why, for example. Once you know what is expected coupled with your knowledge of the book, you have many options. Be sure to tell about some things in the book that will demonstrate to the teacher that you truly did read the book.

An essay/report generally has five paragraphs. There is an introduction paragraph with a thesis statement, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The introduction, of course, introduces the topic. The thesis (one sentence) states the main idea of the paper. The three (or more) body paragraphs back up your thesis. The conclusion restates your thesis and introduction.
