Side issue: You MUST be careful with your notation. What you have written there is h(x) but the expression is not a function of x. Strictly speaking, you have a constant expression there, and a constant function has no inverse function. I’m going to assume you meant

h(x) = 6/(x – 4)

Set it up as

y = 6/(x – 4)

and solve for x:

x – 4 = 6/y

x = (6/y) + 4 = (4y + 6)/y

So the inverse

h(-1)(x) = (4x + 6)/x
