HIstory of Separation of powers?

Im doing a power presentation on separation of powers and we have to include the history/ background of it. Im not sure what to do include…i have to do 12 slides- in one of the slides i included montesquieu…should I include john locke and aristotle- I know they didnt contribute as much as montesquieu but my presentation had to be 10 min long and I need to make it longer. Also im not sure how separation of powers started,..i know it was influence by philosophers and adopted by the U.S constitution but did it have origins before that? any ideas what should i include in the history of separation of powers?

You should include john Locke and Jean Jacques Rousseau they both contribute alot to the righting or the constitution. If you look up them you will learn each ideal they brought to the Constitution. The separation of powers is about the three branches of government you could do a slide on each one and on each of the three people who contribute to the writing of the Constitution that’s 6 and the first one could be you naming off the 5 principle then telling which one your going to talk about then go into their struggle with the British then the 3 philosophers and then the 3 branches

Hope That Helps!!
