what does it mean to be an American Patriot?
Favorite Answer
First, do a little research on what makes someone a Patriot, no matter what country they’re a citizen of. Then try to think of ways in which a person like that would behave in the United States. Jot down all those ideas, maybe on little slips of paper, and shift them around, grouping ones that seem related somehow, and then put them in some sort of order or sequence. On ce you have done that, you will have (essentially) your Outline. Then all you have to do is convert those little ideas into sentences, with the groups becoming paragraphs, and you should find that it really is easy to write the essay. The hard part is finding or thinking up the ideas.
Patriots, for example believe in their Country; are honorable people who value being honorable, are prepared to defend that Country if necessary – however that might have to be done; hold a number of national activities in high regard and try to participate in those activities; appreciate others who hold similar attitudes; look for ways they can contribute to improving the Country.
Try just doing an Internet search on Patriot; take the time to read and learn. Gather pictures of patriotic behavior and be prepared to insert those into the text of the essay.
But make an effort other than just asking for someone to get you “off the hook.”
Introduction: This would give definition and variations by various accounts. You may also want to research famous quotes on patriotism from famous people.
Middle: Here you can give some of your own ideas as you will develop from reading.
Conclusion: Here you can express your feelings and compare these with others. Also, what it would it be like if everyone of the countrymen in each country became rigidly patriotic.
Hope this is of some help.
