What are the importance of the american revolution?

i have browse around yahoo answers and also around the net. This is what I have found so far:

-life under the british rule was more restricted and guarded.

-the american revolution took place because of the heavy taxes that the british place on the americans and restricted trade policy.

-no american revolution = no freedom

What i’m currently confused is about the constitution and some part about George Washington. I was browsing through some sites and it said how George Washington had led the revolt? I’m sorry, i was mainly researching on the american revolution that i had left out some important points on George Washington and how the constitution was established. can anyone help me?

I’m sorry, I really can’t teach an entire section on the Am Rev in one Y-A segment … and you sound really confused.

Here’s my suggestion .. check out this site .. it’s totally dedicated to the revolution and it’s nice and easy to understand. That way you won’t be picking up bits and pieces like you are searching Y-A (and besides, most of the stuff up here is junk anyway).

Good Luck!
