What are some good science fair topics?

I’m in 8th grade, and we have to pick our science fair topics… I need ideas!

It would be nice to have something that’s fun to do, and not hard, but not too lazy…I was considering cut flower life, but I’ve had a lot of people tell me that I shouldn’t do anything that relates to plants… help PLEASE?

My sister and I, both long out of college, were talking about science fairs one day and decided this would be a great project–I am happy to meet someone who needs a suggestion.

Ask yourself this question: What affects the height and duration of the foam on root beer.

Is it the angle of the glass while pouring?

The type of root beer (brewed or not–it is all non-alcoholic)?

The temperature of the root beer?

The height from which it is poured?

Get a few types of root beer and test for the 1,3, and 4th questions with strict control and you have an interesting project. You will have to research why foam forms at all–9surface tension, bubbles) and it is fun, fun to make into a display and it can catch peoples interest. It does not take long and can’t die on you.

Maybe this is for you.

I really don’t know

I’m in high school and I have to do a science fair project this year. A cool, fun idea is the effect of no sleep on a person…..

Just a suggestion

if i where u, i would make an electroscope. it detects static electricity in the air. its easy and cheap to make and there are plenty of instructions online on how to make it. its really cool if u learn a little about it and that way u can look smart in front of ur teachers. wen u make static electricity by rubbing a balloon on ur hair or somethin like that, the electroscope will react to it. its really fun. all u need is a 9v battery, a soldering iron thing, and a resistor. good luck
