Knowledge gained through experience allows you to know from first hand experience which options actually work best in a situation. You have observed the consequences of your decisions and had a chance to fine tune your action for next time.
Anyone who has ever tried to do something by using a manual knows that the manuals are often just different enough from the real world to leave you with some uncertainty on how to proceed.
Being in a situation yourself gives you the additional sensory information you can’t get just by reading.
When you read something from a book, you are learning from someone else’s experiences. Everything from their prior experiences to their education to their vocabulary changes the filter through which they see the situations. You’re relying on their observations as to the relevant information, but you may require different information in a similar situation.
On the other hand, book knowledge can be helpful when experiencing things for the first time. It can help you handle the situation well because you’ll already have some idea of what to expect. In a stressful situation, book knowledge can provide you a “checklist” you can run through in your mind to help keep calm.
Reading how others reacted to a situation after you’ve been through something similar can help you evaluate how you performed in the situation and learn how to do better next time.
From my personal experience, I can tell you that real world experience is almost always more valuable than book knowledge.
The employer will always raise the wage for the old-handed, and the new-handed will have less salary…..
Experience gained through a long time, not like books, ready to be gained at all time……
Such as the career of book authors, if they only read all book and write the book, nobody will like that book because many appeal mistakes will be shown….
Many nobel people such as Beethoven has experience many failure and achieve success. If a person totally, depend on the book, they will no have chance to experience failure and success,hence will have lower maturity……
Lastly, the authors of the books is human, that’s impossible for a human to do right things in all the time….. Through true experience, we can easily which is right and which is wrong easily…….
