I was actually looking for 64t^3 as an answer but they didn’t give that as a choice. Then d has to be the answer. Every term in the parentheses has to be raised to the 3rd power. It means 4 x4 x4 x t x t x t which is 4^3t^3.

(4^3)(t^3)

(d)

The power rule outside of Calculus is the same as the distributive property. You just put the exponent on everything in the parenthesis. The situation would be different without them. 4t^3 is just what it says.

c0z d expression (4t)^3 means 4(raised to the power of three) times (t raised to the power of three)

which can be simplified as 64t^3…
