its a diagram used for summerizeing stories and it looks kind of like an upside down house

Start by making a list of the rooms that belong in any home for the historical period involved:

bedroom

kitchen

living room

interconnecting hallways

closet space

toilet

Then you consider whether this is a tiny house, a family house, a rich person home, and add additional rooms

maybe several bedrooms, more than one bathroom,

where will stairs fit into the structure

will it have a garage

how about structural integrity … what goes above / below when there are water pipes, water bed, kitchen exhaust fan

what rooms need to be against an outside wall

do any not need that
