With equation:
(x – a)^2 + (y – b)^2 = C
(a,b) is the centre, and C is the square of the radius.
You need to find C.
C is the square of the distance from the centre (1, -6) to the point (7,3) on the circumference.
C = (7 – 1)^2 + (3 – (-6))^2
= 6^2 + 9^2
= 36 + 81
= 117.
Hence a = 1, b = -6, C = sqrt(117).
